Block A Schedule


  • This Friday, 2/2,  will be a Block B Assembly Schedule.
  • Finals may be over, but it's never too early to get some extra help. Don't forget tutors are available Mondays through Thursdays at lunch by the Flex Office.
  • The AHS PTSA is hosting an information night especially for 10th and 11th graders (though other grades and parents are welcome!).  Contra Costa Community College and College of Marin will be sharing info about their schools, how easy it is to apply, career options, student life, and more. Ms. Peterson from the AHS Counseling Office will speak about alternatives to 4-year colleges and share how AHS counselors support students who are not planning on attending 4-year colleges. Please join us at 7pm on Monday, Feb 5th in the AHS Library.  We will hold a brief PTSA meeting before the presentations.
  • The 2018 Albany Hoops t-shirts are here! The shirts will be FREE for the first 75 students to show up at the Girls Basketball games vs. John Swett on Friday, Feb. 2nd. Game times are at 5:30/7:00. T-shirts will be distributed at the snack bar! Hope to see you there! 

College and Career

  • FINAL DEADLINE is February 15 for Global Navigator Scholarships to study abroad this summer! CIEE has just added a program in St. Petersburg, Russia, so stop by Room 213 for more information. 
  • Hey Seniors: Have you heard? AHS is working towards qualifying for a grant from the GetSchooled foundation that we'll use to provide a $1,000 scholarship to one lucky member of the class of 2018. To qualify, all you have to do is register at GetSchooled.com and see Ms. Parrott in the counseling office for details. 
  • AP Students: There's still time to register for the 2018 AP Exams! Late fees will be applied. Visit http://bit.ly/AHSAP18 to register today! 

Clubs and Teams

  • Interested in participating on a spring sports team? If so, then be sure to complete your online athletic registration by Thursday, Feb. 1st at 3:00pm. Be sure to upload your medical clearance form to your online account. No hard copies accepted. If you’ve already played on a sports team this school year, then all you need to do is update your registration for the spring sport you’d like to play.   • All interested in playing on the spring Co-ed Badminton team...there will be an informational meeting at lunch on Tuesday, Jan. 30th in the wrestling room.  Please spread the word!
  • The Varsity Girls soccer team will host St. Pat’s at Cougar Field on TONIGHT at Cougar Field at 6:00pm in the first round of TCAL Playoffs. Admission is $2.00 for students, but the first 50 students to arrive will be admitted FREE. 
  • The Varsity Boys Soccer team will travel to El Cerrito TONIGHT in the first round of TCAL Playoffs. Kick off will be at 6:00pm. Admission is $2.00 for students. 
  • One Heart Thursday at  lunch in Room 211.
  • Best Buddies Club Meeting today during lunch in Room 219.
