General

  • The theme of the day is gender & sexual orientation. There will be a showing in the Little Theater at lunch today, uplifting the experiences and voices of LGBTQ+ creators. Space is limited, so please eat your lunch beforehand and then head on over!

  • Tomorrow will be our last day of Diversity Week and the theme will be Race and Ethnicity. To end the week, we’ll have a very fun zine making workshop hosted by AUSD Diversify Our Narrative in. If you’ve never heard of a zine, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more! Everyone is welcome.

  • Freshman Forum will be held today and Friday this week. The library will be used for presentations. No printing will be available during class periods. All library users, please be respectful of the hard work our students have done.

College

  • On 3/9 the CA Student Aid Commission decided to extend its application until April 1, 2022. CA students who have received or who are currently awaiting admissions decisions from UC are strongly encouraged to apply for financial aid if they have not done so.

Clubs

  • Always wanted to join a hackathon, or have absolutely no idea what it is? Fret not because Programming Club will be hosting AHS' first school-wide hackathon! For more information or if you would like to sign up, find a hackathon flier around the school and scan the QR code. Let’s make it happen!

  • The unhoused communities are often overlooked, especially women and anyone who menstruates. So we’ll be launching the Sanitary Products drive until April 1st! Read the flier near the bins with a more comprehensive list. Also be sure to check Instagram and your emails for more info!

  • Best Buddies has a meeting today. Meet on the median.

Sports

  • Track & Field-- your team's Covid pool testing is today at lunch! Baseball, softball, swim, tennis, golf— did you miss your team's pool test this week? Come today, Thursday, at lunch for makeup testing, otherwise you cannot participate in your sport next week.

  • Tennis release at 2:15 pm

  • Golf release at2 pm

  • Track and Field release at 2:20 pm

  • Swimming release at 2:45 pm

  • Varsity Softball release at 2:30 pm
