General

  • Today's Hispanic Heritage person is Gabriel Garcia Marquez, who was born in Colombia. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982 and is most famous for his novel, "Cien anos de soledad," or "One Hundred Years of Solitude.

  • Lifetouch will be here from 9:00 - 3:00 tomorrow in the Library for photo retakes.

  • Come to the FINAL informational meeting for the 3 country trip to Europe in Feb. 2020. Come to Room 215 Monday, Sept 30 at lunch to learn more. Deadline is fast approaching.

  • Tomorrow night is Spirit Night as our volleyball team hosts St. Mary's for first place in the TCAL! Match time is 7pm. Come out, make Cougar gym a madhouse and root our amazing girls to victory!

  • Scripps College was on campus this morning. If you missed the info session, but would still like information about the institution, visit their profile page on Naviance and stop by the counseling department to pick any supplemental materials that were provided.

  • The University of Chicago will be on campus tomorrow morning in the Counseling Department Conference Room from 8:15 AM to 9:00 AM. View details on the AHS website in the General Events calendar. Then register through Naviance. Space is limited so sign up soon!

  • Today is the last day to submit AP Fee Waiver documents. Requests that remain incomplete at the end of the school day will be denied.

  • AP Exam registration has ended. Payment for all AP Exams is due tomorrow. Any exams not paid for by the end of the day will be dropped.

Clubs and Teams

  • All girls interested in playing softball this season: There is a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, October 2nd at lunch in Room 218. Bring your lunch, we will begin promptly.
