Monday Schedule

General

  • Friday, April 19 will be International Food Day. We will be on a modified Block B schedule.

  • AUSD Summer School is currently enrolling students. This 4-week, free program will be held from June 24 - July 19. There will be no summer school on July 4. The program will be held at Marin Elementary School. The courses being offered are English and History. Students who have failed an English or History class and need to make up those credits in order to graduate will be given priority enrollment. Students who have received a D in English or History may also request an opportunity to improve their grade in summer school, but enrollment to these students will be given on a first-come, first-served basis based on space in the program. Registration forms are now available in the counseling office.

  • The deadline to register for AUSD Summer School is Friday, May 3. If you need to make up credits for English or History classes that you've earned a D or F in, please turn in your registration forms by May 3. Early registration is encouraged as changes can me made up to the day Summer School begins. Enrollment space is limited. Forms are in the counseling office.

  • New menu items in the cafeteria! We're launching the Spicy Black Bean Burger with Sweet Potato Fries today. Also, please come check out our Chicken and Mashed Potato Bowl on Wednesday, April 17th. Creamy mashed potatoes and gravy topped with popcorn chicken, sweet corn, and cheddar cheese, served with a roll.

  • Seniors: Please make sure that you look over the blue Senior Activities List. There are several important upcoming dates. Please stop by the Main Office to pick one up if you have misplaced the list.

  • Seniors: Remember that the extra graduation ticket request letter written by your parents is due by Friday, April 26.

  • ANNUAL RESIDENCY VERIFICATION FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR
    Per Board Policy, parents/guardians of students who are Albany residents, are required to verify their Albany address each school year (AR 5111.1). This year, address, verification will be April 1, 2019 – June 29, 2019. Your time is valuable and we encourage you to complete the address verification via email or through our new address verification website. The piloted website is also mobile phone friendly. Walk-ins to the district's Enrollment Center, located at 1200 Solano Ave, are also welcome. For instructions on how to complete your residency verification, please visit our website: here. We encourage parents/guardians to follow the schedule below; however, we will accept your residency verification documents at any time between April 1st to September 11th. Last Names Beginning with the Letters: A-H (April 2 - April 30), I-P (May 1 - May 31), and Q-Z (June 1 - June 29).

College and Career

  • Hey Seniors! Still unsure about which community college to enroll in next year? Come to AHS's first ever Community College Fair on Wednesday, April 17th during lunch in the atrium and in front of the school (weather permitting). Meet representatives from several local community colleges including Berkeley City College and DVC. See you there!

Clubs and Teams

  • Please help support the Albany High Boy's Golf Team by dining at (or ordering takeout from) Chipotle at 1050 Gilman Street in Berkeley on Monday, April 22nd from 5pm - 9pm. Mention Albany Boy's Golf at checkout and 33% of the purchase price will be donated to the team.
