General

  • 11th grade parent night will be this Wednesday April 3rd 7pm to 8:30pm in the Little Theater.

  • Calling ALL STUDENTS! Please come and check the lost and found in the attendance office. Our next donation will be the week of Spring break! Come and claim your items before they are GONE!!!

  • AUSD SUMMER SCHOOL: AUSD Summer School is currently enrolling students. This 4-week, free program will be held from June 24 - July 29. There will be no summer school on July 4. The program will be held at Marin Elementary School. The courses being offered are English and History. Students who have failed an English or History class and need to make up those credits in order to graduate will be given priority enrollment. Students who have received a D in English or History may also request an opportunity to improve their grade in summer school, but enrollment to these students will be given on a first-come, first-served basis based on space in the program. Registration forms are now available in the counseling office. The deadline to register for AUSD Summer School is Friday, May 3. If you need to make up credits for English or History classes that you've earned a D or F in, please turn in your registration forms by May 3. Early registration is encouraged as changes can me made up to the day Summer School begins. Enrollment space is limited. Forms are in the counseling office.

  • Albany Recreation Department is seeking students who want to volunteer to be a buddy to a camper with special needs! Learn more by signing up at the main office by April 5! Fun!

  • Seniors: Remember that the extra graduation ticket request letter written by your parents is due on Friday, April 26.

  • Albany Swag has arrived and can be picked up after school on Tuesday in the athletic department.

  • Need some volunteer hours? Albany Coop PreSchool will be hosting their annual Spring Fair at Memorial Park on April 13th and would love some help. Come see Mrs. A in counseling office if you would like to volunteer.

College and Career

  • The fourth review session for the 2019 AP Comparative Government Exam will be held this evening at 7 pm in Room 207 of Albany High School.

  • A free SAT practice exam will be offered at the Albany Library on April 6, 1pm-4:45pm. Get realistic practice and receive a score report pinpointing your strengths and weaknesses, available online one week after the exam. Space is limited and registration is required. Register at the library or online at https://events.aclibrary.org/event/5243282.

Clubs and Teams

  • Bua Luang Thai restaurant on lower Solano Ave. is holding a fundraiser for the Albany High Swim Team! Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the month of March, Bua Luang will contribute 15% of sales, for dine in, take out or online orders. Just mention the AHS Swim Team!

  • The LCAP committee forum is on Tuesday, 4/2 at lunch in Room 215. Come to share your opinions about ways to address curriculum.
