General

• Seniors: The senior advisory meeting has been changed from October 3rd to October 17th in the gym.

• The PTSA will be hosting an Albany Board Of Education Candidates Forum tonight from 7:00-9:00pm at AHS Little Theater.

College and Career

• PSAT ADVISORY- Friday, October 5 - All Sophomores and Juniors who are taking the PSAT exam (Saturday, 10/13/18) should check in to their advisory class then come to the Little Theater. We will be doing pre-administration (also called "bubble-ing") on your PSAT answer sheets. Bring a #2 pencil and your school ID to this session.

• Attention college-bound Seniors! Next week, we will be hosting a financial aid workshop to help you complete the FAFSA or CADAA. In order to attend, you must sign-up at bit.ly/C4C1819. Space is limited, so sign-up today!

• In today's college visit line-up we have: Sonoma State University, Occidental College, and Vassar College. Tomorrow: Case Western Reserve University will be on campus. For details go to the AHS online calendar. Sign-up to attend the info session(s) in Naviance.

• Sophomores and Juniors: The PSAT is just around the corner and this weekend, Kaplan is hosting PSAT Prep Live - a free, interactive live-streaming 2-day course to help you prepare. Go to kaptest.com/psat/free/psat-prep-live to register.

Clubs and Teams

• Join Bring Change to Mind Club to help end the stigma around mental illness. We meet Fridays in M4. This Friday we will be making self-care kits. Everyone is welcome.

• Come to Chemistry Club on 10/4 at lunch in Room 303 to do some fun labs!

• Come to Film Production Club in room 109B on Friday at lunch if you’re interested in creating short films.

• Best Buddies Meeting on Thursday, October 4 during lunch in Room 219.

• Anyone interested in coming out for Girl's Soccer come to Rm. 313 after school on Wednesday Oct. 3rd to meet the coach and get information on the season.
