General

• Albany is hosting Fall into Haiku! Everyone is invited to submit haiku reflecting on the people, places, and moments that make Albany special. Entries due by October 15. Approximately 60 haiku will be selected and displayed around the city starting in November. Info on ParentSquare.

Clubs

• The AHS Model UN Club will meet this Wednesday, September 24, at lunch in a new location: Room C-202.

• Come enjoy fall baked goods this Wednesday after school and help fund hoco for class of 27! We'll have brownies, cookies, pumpkin bread, and more. We accept cash and Apple Pay

• AHS Mock Trial will be meeting in room A-216 this Tuesday, September 23rd, at lunch and after school.

College

• Looking for free SAT prep or service hour opportunities? SAT Club offers free PSAT/SAT tutoring from 1550+ scorers, and strong scorers can partner with us to earn certified hours on their own time by tutoring peers! Join our meetings on Mondays at lunch in Room 314 to learn more.

• College rep visits: Oregon State University will visit on Tuesday, 9/23 at 2:30 (7th period) in room A-201. Please sign up - you will need a pass if you have a 7th period. Sign up at https://tinyurl.com/5ycp85c2 or QR code in Counseling Office.

Sports

• GOOD LUCK, varsity girls' golf today as they take on St Mary's at Tilden Park after school. This match is a first-place showdown, and the Cougars are ready! Go Albany!
