Message About the Fire Alarm on 9/6

Dear Albany High School community,

Today, we detected smoke in our 1st floor library at 9:10, evacuated the school and called the fire department who investigated the site thoroughly before allowing us to return into the building at 9:50. Much credit is due to our incredible staff and student body who were very patient, respectful and responsible during this event. The safety of our community is my number one priority and it is for that reason that I wish to thank all school members who worked together today when we needed to respond.
