General

• Want to change curriculum and make a difference in Albany schools? Join AUSD Diversify Our Narrative!! Interest meeting on Wednesday, September 15 at lunch on the median in front of the school. Looking for underclassmen specifically. Check out @diversifyournarrative.ausd on Instagram for more.

• The AHS Library will be open at lunchtime and after school for studying and quiet reading for a limited number of students. Please no eating or playing video games in the library. Remember to sign in as you enter.

• Want to earn a lot of service hours, make new friends within the state, nationally, and internationally, hold leadership positions, or earn scholarships and awards for college? Become a lime green kiwi for Key Club! Meetings are every Tuesday during lunch at the picnic tables of Memorial Park!

• The Leadership team is hosting a Bake Sale after-school September 15th. Come support the school!

Sports

• Want to see if you like wrestling before the season? Want to get in a good workout? Wrestling preseason begins on Tuesday, September 14th, and practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 in the wrestling room. Bring workout clothes and your friends!
