General

  • Please join me in congratulating Jorjie (Jirachaya Kiriruangchai) on winning a Congressional Art award for her painting. She went to Congresswoman Lee's office this weekend for an awards ceremony.

  • Don't miss the AHS Dance Department's Spring Dance Concert "Heroes & Legends" Thursday, May 2 at 7 pm and Friday, May 3 at 6:00 and 8:15 pm in the Little Theater. Come support your favorite dancers from Dance 1, Dance 2, Albany Dance Company and Albany Hip Hop Crew. Tickets are $5 for students and AHS Staff, and $10 for adults. They are available now on Brownpapertickets.com.

  • Seniors, Important News: Achievers will be handing out the cap and gowns on Thursday, May 2nd during lunch in the atrium. The next time Achievers will bring the cap and gowns will be on Friday, June 14th during graduation rehearsal.

  • Important Information regarding the process to request multiple courses in the same subject area. The "Second UC (a)-(e) Course Request Form" is now available in the counseling office. Students must read the policy outlined on the front page, complete the attached form, and turn it into the counseling office no later than May 31st. Please remember that this process does not guarantee placement and space is limited. Students will not know if they have been placed in their requested course until picking up their schedule on Opening Day (August 22nd). It is your responsibility to complete any assigned summer course work. Please be aware that there is no room to add AP Biology.

  • Informational meeting on Tuesday at lunch for trip to Europe next February or April, 2020. Come be part of the planning in Room 215.

  • AUSD SUMMER SCHOOL: AUSD Summer School is currently enrolling students. This 4-week, free program will be

  • held from June 24 - July 19. The deadline to register for AUSD Summer School is Friday, May 3

College and Career

  • Hey Seniors! Berkeley City College's Student Success Day will be held on Friday, May 3rd from 9a.m. to 2p.m. at BCC. This is an opportunity to register for classes and to learn more about the school. Sign up in the AHS Counseling office by today.

  • Thinking of taking a community course this summer? Please come to the Info session at lunch Wednesday May 1st in little theater.
