Block B Assembly Schedule

General

  • Tickets for the homecoming dance will be sold after school this week. Tickets are $5, and $8 at the door. You must turn in a dance agreement form prior to purchasing a ticket. Guest agreement forms are also available, and must be signed by an administrator.

  • The AHS Library will close early next week. On Monday & Tuesday, we will close at 3:45. On Thursday, we will close at 4:30.

  • Any additional students interested in the February break trip to Europe 2020, please see Ms. De Hart asap. Sign ups will be taken until Oct 27! Join the group. Come to Room 215 during the days Thursday and Friday this week.

  • Homecoming Game: JV Football vs. Pinole Valley 4:00pm, Var Football vs. Pinole Valley 6:30pm

  • Saturday, 10/19 Sports: Cross Country Mariner Invite Classic, away. Freshman and JV Volleyball Season End Classic, away.

  • Girls Freshman Volleyball finished their season undefeated in the league… Go Cougars!

College and Career

  • Students registered for the PSAT this Saturday must bring their Student ID card, #2 pencils & College Board approved calculator. The test starts at 8:00 am. Please arrive by 7:45 am as latecomers may not be admitted. Test room assignments will be posted by the Counseling Office on Friday, Oct 18th

  • Attention college-bound Seniors who need cash for college! Next week, we'll be hosting a financial aid workshop to help you complete the FAFSA or CADAA. In order to attend, you must sign-up at bit.ly/C4C2020. Space is limited, so sign-up today!

  • The United States Air Force is holding an info session right now in the Counseling Office Conference Room.

  • Allegheny College will be on campus this afternoon in the Main Office Conference Room. View details on the AHS website in the General Events calendar. Contact your counselor or Ms. Parrott regarding same-day sign-ups. All students must have a signed visit slip to attend.

  • Linfield College was on campus this morning. If you missed the info session but would still like information about the institution, visit their profile page on Naviance and drop by the Counseling Department to pick-up any supplemental materials that were provided.

  • In next week's college visit line-up we'll have: Bard, Boston, Grinnell, Hawaii Pacific, McGill, Northwestern, Occidental, British Columbia, & UCSB. See session details on the AHS website in the General Events calendar. Register through Naviance. Space is limited so sign up now.

  • Attention Social-Justice minded Juniors and Seniors, ages 16 and up: Do you want a paid summer internship at a local government organization? Apply to the District Attorney's Justice Academy. Visit alcoda.org for more information and an application.

Clubs and Teams

  • All girls interested in playing soccer this season must attend an organizational meeting next Thursday, October 24th, in Room 218 at the start of lunch. ALL winter athletes remember to have your parents register through the FamilyID system!
