Block B Schedule

General

• Our finals schedule times have changed. The first final start time will be at 8:45am – 10:43am and the second final that day will start at 11:03am – 1:01pm.

• A huge thank you to the AHS students and staff who participated in Albany High’s inaugural Adopt-a-Family community service project. Through the generosity of Albany High students and staff, five under-resourced families in the East Bay will have a much brighter holiday season. Collectively we raised approximately $2,500.00 in gifts and gift cards. Almost all of these families’ wish - lists included necessities like shampoo and deodorant. Luckily we were able to provide those for them and also their dream gifts - like comforters, movie tickets, bikes and strollers. Thank you for stepping forward and giving of yourselves by donating, shopping and wrapping. What a wonderful experience to be involved in!

• Looking for community service? Albany Wrestling is hosting a tournament this Saturday, 1/12 and next Saturday, 1/19. Come help work tables and get fed! Talk to Mr. Acosta for details.

College and Career

• A representative of the United States Marine Corp will hold an information session on campus tomorrow morning. Register to attend with Ms. Parrott.

Clubs and Teams

• Anyone interested in joining the Softball team please come to an informational meeting at lunch this Friday, January 11th in Rm. 311.

• The Model UN Club will meet today at lunch in Room 207. All students attending the Berkeley California should come to today’s meeting.

• Want to learn more about black culture? Come to BSU every Wednesday at lunch in Room 104.
