Monday Schedule

General

• Pictures are Back! If your family purchased photos please come and see Ms. Landry in the attendance office before school, on your break or at lunch. Thank You

• Albany High will be offering the PSAT on Saturday, October 13 from 8:00 to noon. The cost is $25. Pay for the test on the MySchoolBucks website. After paying online, students should pick up a PSAT Student Guide from the book room anyday between 8:00 - 1:00. Students can also pay with a check payable to AUSD (with student’s name on the memo line) outside the book room during lunch beginning Monday, September 24 for Juniors. No cash will be accepted. Juniors will have priority registration from Monday, 9/24 to Thursday, 9/27. Sophomore registration will be from Friday, 9/28 to Tuesday, 10/2. All other grades may register on Tuesday 10/9 and Wednesday 10/10. If you have financial need, please contact your counselor.

College and Career

• September 20th is College Application Night 7pm to 8:30pm Little Theater. We will discuss post-secondary options for students with the primary emphasis of this event being applying to 4- year colleges. Letter of Recommendation forms and process with specific deadlines will also be discussed.

• In this week's college visit line-up we have: Puget Sound, Maryville, Reed, Duke, The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Berkeley, Oregon, Illinois Wesleyan, Northeastern, Grand Canyon, Colorado, Holyoke, Miami, New Jersey and Tufts. For details go to the AHS online calendar. Sign-up to attend the info session(s) in Naviance.

Clubs and Teams

• Come join the National honor Society in Room 213, Monday the 17th at lunch. Learn more about the organization and club. Snacks will be provided.

• Join Film Club! We’ll be talking about fun movies! First meeting is Friday, 9/21, at lunch in Rm 201.

• Come to our first Science Olympiad meeting afterschool on Monday in Room 303.

• Math Club will be meeting on Monday, 9/17, in Rm 316. Come do cool math!

• Calling All Writers! The first meeting of the Story Creation Club will be Tuesday September 18, 2018 in Room 208 at Lunch!
