General

• The Venture Store is closing for good on May 24th. Can you plan ahead? Take advantage of our 40% off sale to stock up now with school supplies and homecoming items.
• Don't miss the AHS Dance Department's Spring Dance Concert "Inside Out" tonight at 7 pm and Friday, May 4  at 6:00 and 8:15 pm in the Little Theater.  Come support your favorite dancers from Dance 1, Dance 2, Albany Dance Company and Albany Hip Hop Crew. Tickets are  $5 for students and AHS Staff, and $10 for adults. They are available now on Brownpapertickets.com.
• Prom is right around the corner, June 2nd. Prom tickets on sale next week for $90, 5/1-5/4. Also sold again 5/21 – 5/25 for $95. Dance agreements and list of people who qualify for $5 off prom tickets because of Spring Fling is available on the leadership board.
• TCAL Track and Field Championships are on  Friday, 5/4 at El Cerrito High School. It is from 3:30-7:30 at the new sports facility. Come cheer on our running cougars!
• Seniors: You can still sign up for the Senior Retreat to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk until this Friday, May 4. Permission forms and info are in the attendance office.

College and Career

• Are you interested in earning college credit next year? Do you have a job working with students or want to earn credit helping out at an elementary school? Are you interested in a career in education? In a new partnership, two Berkeley City College Education courses will be offered at AHS next year! Come to a meeting in M1 [on Tuesday, May 8th / today] to find out more and to sign-up.
