General

• Come one, come all! The school board is hosting a forum about the upcoming budget cuts this Thursday, during lunch in the Little Theater.
• This Friday afterschool, Albany Stands will organize a rally in solidarity with immigrants in the amphitheater. There will be snacks, music, and personal testimonies. Please come and show your support!
• Seniors have three weeks to order Senior Panoramic pictures. Order forms are in the attendance office and orders must be placed by 11/17.
• Fifteen Days, $50,000!--Apply by December 1st for a share of $50,000 to study abroad. Meet Kelly Britt from CIEE's Global Navigator Scholarship Program in the Counseling Office Conference Room on Thursday at lunch or after school. 
• Come out and support the Varsity Girls and JV/Varsity Boys Basketball teams as they host KIPP King on Saturday, Nov. 18th at Cougar Gym. Games start at 3:00pm. Admission is FREE for all AHS students w/ your student I.D. Admission is $2.00 for students without your student I.D. Hope to see you there! 

Clubs and Teams

• The first cheerleading meeting of the Basketball Season is today after school at 4pm in the wrestling room. 
• Jewish Student Union will be meeting Wednesday at lunch in room 314.
• The Model UN Club will meet today at lunch in Room 207. We’ll be making important announcements about up-coming events.
• Best Buddies, Thanksgiving Day Potluck, Thursday, November 16th during lunch in Room 219. Please bring something to share. Sign-Up Sheet outside Room 219.
• Come to this month’s  Rock Climbing meeting today at lunch in Room303. We will fill first timers in on what we do and discuss this week’s group activity.
• Join us in Room 302 for a Key Club meeting today!
• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays: Intermural basketball. Get teams of 3 for tournament.
• Politicos will be meeting this Friday in Room 215. Come for pizza and thoughtful discussion about gun control!
