Update to Community Regarding COVID-19
Dear Albany High School Community,
Due to ongoing efforts to support local health precautions, the following steps have been confirmed but please keep in mind that this is a very fluid set of circumstances so thank you for your support and patience.
The Diversity Week assembly and food day have been postponed. We will now have a regular bell schedule for Wednesday 3/25 and Friday 3/27.
All musical performances have been postponed or modified. Craig Bryant and Mary Stocker will be communicating these plans to their respective groups.
Confirming that all field trips are cancelled or postponed through April 10th, rescheduled depending on availability.
We received a re-supply of hand sanitizer and disinfectant from the District Office and continue to encourage all staff and students to practice due diligence with personal hygiene practices and to stay at home if feeling ill or have a fever.
I'll be working with our Department Chairs on contingency plans for distance learning and supporting curriculum in the event of a school closure. At this time, there is no action taken to close schools.

AUSD Now Accepting Inter-district Transfers
Albany Unified School District announces opportunities for families to apply for inter-district transfers for the 2020-2021 school year and join our strong academic community.
Albany schools boast smaller class sizes, rigorous academic courses, rich elective offerings, robust extracurricular programs, and tight-knit school communities with strong parent support.
Applications are now being accepted. Most decisions will be made within two weeks of application.
Detailed information about the inter-district transfer process can be found on our District’s website www.ausdk12.org under the “Enrollment” tab.
Visit your district of residence and complete an interdistrict permit. Your district may require additional items and/or an in-person visit, please speak with your district about the requirements for your permit.
Submit the form to your district of residence. Once approved, please request a copy of the approved permit and submit it to AUSD (1200 Solano Ave. Albany, CA 94706).

AP Course Information Night
The Albany High School PTSA is hosting a parent education night for those interested in learning more about our AP courses on Thursday, March 12th in the library from 7-8pm. AP teachers, AHS administrators and students currently taking AP courses will be there to present information and address your questions. Deadline for course selection is March 16th. Help Support AHS and AMS Drama Programs
Enjoy a meal and a show and support the Albany Middle School and High School drama programs at the same time. This weekend the AHS Theatre Ensemble presents the "Addams Family" musical. On Sat., 3/7, before or after the show, enjoy a meal with family and friends at Chipotle (near EC Plaza) between 4-8pm and they will donate a percentage or your purchase to PFAB (Albany Performing and Fine Arts Boosters). Please remember to present a paper or electronic copy of this flyer at the time of your purchase.

Science Olympiad Team Wins 39 Medals
Congratulations to the Albany High Science Olympiad team for a great performance this past Saturday at the Bay Area Science Olympiad Regional which took place at Cal State East Bay. The team won a total of 39 medals! Medal winners were Alex Jung, Allison Lin, Caleb Williams, Daniella Son, Eileen Cai, Eli Jordan, Gianna Kearney, Jared Nakahara, Jessica He, Liam Henson, Maria Javier, Michael Kireeff, Minju O'Rourke, Natalia Toledo, Nicholas Chen, Ryan Lian, Saya Shoy, Tara Lee, Thomas Lee, and Trevor Ryan.

Based on the classic comic/TV Show/movies, "The Addams Family" is a fun musical full of creepy characters and catchy songs. As Wednesday Addams turns 18, she has invited her boyfriend Lucas Beineke and his parents over for dinner. But will the not-exactly-normal Addamses get along with the Beineke family enough to have one normal night? Secret-keeping, family games, and love are sure to pop up in this hilarious show.
