 General


  • Reminder for students who love the arts: Enter the National PTA’s annual arts contest, Reflections. This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me”. Deadline is Oct. 12; find out more at https://tinyurl.com/AHSReflections2026. 

  • Attending special school events is a privilege, not a right. To any Albany High dances, and to be a guest at other school dances, students need to be in good standing. Check your email regarding the policy to attend the upcoming HOCO Dance. 

Clubs

  • Interested in fashion, journalism, or photography? The Prima Donna fashion magazine is having their first meeting on today at lunch in room A-204, see you there!! 

  • The AHS Model UN Club will meet Wednesday, September 23, at lunch in Room C-202. 

College

  • University of Puget Sound, University of Oregon, and Bates College will be visiting this week. Sign up on the AHS website under Counseling, College & Career to get an Advisory pass or lunch reminder.  

  • Questions about the PSAT? Drop by the Ask A Counselor table in the atrium at advisory for expert advice. We are also available for college app help! 

Sports

  • Hey Cougars come support your cross country team! Listen to other announcements about when their next meet is. 

  • Hey Cougars Girls Golf meeting on Thursday Sept 24th! 

  • Girls Golf early release at 2:10 pm

  • Girls Tennis early release at 2:15 pm 

  • Girls Water Polo early release at 3:30 pm
