 General


  • Want help with your science homework? Come to Science Hour and Physics Hour! Starting this week, Science Hour is every Monday after school in 302 and Physics Hour is every Thursday after school in 301. That’s Science Hour and Physics Hour on Mondays and Thursdays! Questions? Ask Ms. Zhao or Ms. Risk. 

  • Announcing "Adventure in Costa Rica", an opportunity to spend 9 days in Costa Rica over this coming spring break! This opportunity is open to all AHS students, and current 8th grade AMS students. Sign up at https://bit.ly/4r2vVRt to attend an in-person meeting on 9/16 to discuss the trip details.  

Clubs

  • The Albany High School Model UN Club will meet today at lunch in Room C-202. 

  • Treat yourself to chocolate chip cookies, brownies, snickerdoodles, and more! Stop by the Class of 27's Bake Sale today (Wednesday, September 9) in front of the Art Building after school. 

College

  • Seniors & Parents: Missed College Application Night? View the presentation under the Counseling tab on our website. Key info on letter of rec deadlines & apps was covered and sent via ParentSquare on Sept 4. 

  • If you are applying to a 4 year college with deadlines before 12/1 you Counselor Letter of Rec request form is due Friday, 9/18. All the links to these forms was sent out via parent square on Sept 4th and are posted in the counseling office. 

  • New York University is visiting today during Lunch! Stop by the Library to learn about this private research university in New York City, with over 150 majors, and students from all 50 states and 135+ countries. 

Sports

  • Girls Flag Football meets every Thursday during lunch in room S3 

  • Any student interested in playing boys JV basketball this year, attend a meeting in Room 214 this Friday. Bring your lunch, the meeting begins at 12:50 sharp. 

  • Early release for Girls Tennis at 2:00 pm
