Alameda CTC manages the Student Transit Pass Program to support the traveling needs of Alameda County students and promote efficient, cost-effective transit options.

The program started as a pilot in 2016 and in 2024 achieved a major milestone: every eligible school in Alameda County is now enrolled! This expansion ensures that students have access to free bus transportation up through high school graduation, making it easier than ever for students to travel to and from school, jobs, and extra-curricular activities.

During the 2024-25 school year and summer, over 31,500 students at 161 schools participated in the program, taking nearly 2.2 million free bus rides in total.
