General

  • The Snack Shack will be closed at break and at lunch this week. The food service staff look forward to serving everyone in the MPR

  • Seniors: Reminder that the CA State Seal of Biliteracy Applications are due in Ms. Lau-Seim's mailbox by Friday, April 3rd after school.

  • Congratulations to the 2026 World Languages Poster Contest Winners, whose theme was "Learning Languages Lights the Way." First place is Jane Kim; 2nd--Solmaz Erami; 3rd--Asta & Lina Kim; 4th--Kana Wong-Nelkin; and 5th--Cole Miller. Kudos to all and stop by to admire their work by the main office.

  • Huge shout-outs to the winners of the 2026 World Languages Haiku Contest! There were 28 finalists, with top prizes going to Naiara Paterno for French; Dylan Zhu for Mandarin; and Benny Rodriguez for Spanish. All 28 poems are display across from Room 219, so check them out & congratulate the poets!

  • English Hour is happening in the Library Computer Lab from 4 to 5 PM on Thursday, April 2nd. Come by to get help on an assignment from an English teacher.

  • Order your Class of 2026 yard sign. Get your class of 2026 yard sign, designed by an AHS student!Signs come with a metal stand and will be ready for pick up after spring break. 8 each—order by April 1. College

  • Seniors: AHS Local Scholarships and Purdom Family Scholarship applications were emailed Tuesday afternoon to all 12th graders. These are just for AHS students and there are opportunities for students planning to attend 2- and 4-year college and vocational programs.

Sports

  • Varsity Baseball, early release at 2:15pm

  • Varsity Tennis, early release at 2:30pm

  • JV Baseball, early release at 2:30pm

  • Swimming, early release at 2:45pm
