AHS Summer School 2026 Information
Posted Date: 03/24/26 (01:09 PM)
Hello Albany High School Parents & Guardians,
We wanted to take a moment to send out some important information about AHS's summer school offering. Summer School provides students who have earned a D or an F in a course needed for graduation or to meet 4 Year College (A-G) Eligibility an opportunity to remediate that grade.
This year summer school will offer remediation opportunities in English, Social Studies (Ethnic Studies, World History, US History, and Gov/Econ), Math, and Biology.
A few points about summer:
- As a reminder students who earn an F in a course needed to graduate must make up these credits and the most expedient way is through Summer School.
- A student who earns a D has the option to remediate to make the class eligible for college
- UC will ask that the student report the original grade and remediated grade
- CSU will take the new grade earned in the course
Summer School will be offered this year from June 15 - July 15. More details are available in the attached application form.
If you would like your student enrolled, please complete the application and have your student bring it to the counseling office.
Let your student's counselor know if you have any questions. For your convenience we have also included this image to clarify between AHS Graduation Requirements and 4 Year College Eligibility requirements.
