General    

• Did you know that this week (Feb 2nd- Feb 6th) is National School Counseling Week?! This week highlights the essential contribution of school counselors & the tremendous impact they have in helping students achieve school success & plan for a career. Take a moment to thank your counselor today.

• V Grams–If you have bought a Valentine's gram and taken them home, make sure to bring them back by today and fill out the form, which can be found at the selling table.

• February Frenzy Spit Days: Mon Country vs Country Club Tues: 2016s day. Wed: Rhyme without Reason. Thur: Ancient Greece vs Greek Life. Fri: Cupid's Day(Wear Valentine's Day themed attire, red+pinks)

• Congratulations to one of our 10th grader for taking 1st place in the county-wide Poetry Out Loud Competition this past Tuesday! Sam will now advance to the state competition on March 8–9 in Sacramento. Way to represent Albany High! Congrats and Good luck at the state competition!

Club 

• Film club will be meeting during lunch today in room 306. We will finish watching Labyrinth and vote on our next movie! Bring your friends and enjoy the movie!

College

• ATDP’s Pathway Scholarship is a competitive scholarship program reserved for bright & hardworking middle & high schoolers. The Pathway Scholars Program provides a full tuition & fees scholarship for 1 on-site ATDP course. The deadline is March 23rd. More info in the Counseling office

• Universal Technical Institute will be in the Atrium Wednesday, Feb 11th, during advisory. Stop by to learn more about a career in the trades!

• The Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority's Beauty Through Diversity Scholarship app is available and is due March 1. The Beauty Through Diversity Scholarship (BTDS) is given to 3 students planning to attend a 4-year university or CC anywhere in the United States. More info lambdasigmagamma.org/scholarship
