About Albany High

Albany High is one of the top public high schools in California. We have a diverse student body, a range of great programs including numerous CTE pathways, two AP Computer Science courses, multiple levels of Dance and more. We have State-qualifying runners, wrestlers and tennis players. We create. We think. We solve. We play.

Student Body

Albany High has a diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural population, composed of about 16% Hispanic/Latinx, 32% White, 27% Asian, 4% African-American, and 16% multi-ethnic. We have 6% English Learners and 34% fluent-English proficient students. At least 23% of students qualify for the Free/Reduced Price Lunch Program. The graduation rate for recent cohorts is around 95%.

“Julie's insight and encouragement play a key role in strengthening our special education team. She possesses a tireless commitment and an exceptional work ethic. She consistently goes above and beyond, not only to support students but also to serve as a vital resource for the entire district. Julie is a grounding force that is able to redirect teams to focus on the needs of the student. She has a strong knowledge of Special Education practices, especially as it relates to developing the skills needed for independence and inclusion. Through ongoing collaboration with teachers, administrators, and support staff, she helps foster and build positive behavior supports that contribute to the supportive learning environments for students. Her dedication has helped create a more effective, inclusive environment that supports the success of all learners.”
