General
  1. The library will close immediately after lunch today for the rest of the day. So it will be closed 6th period and after school.
  2. Tonight 7:30pm Little Theater (entrance by suggested donation), Movie Night!  Screening Pitch Perfect.  Concessions available at intermission!
  3. Come out and support the Varsity Girls Soccer team as they host the El Cerrito in the 2nd round of the TCAL Playoffs at 6:00pm on Tuesday, Feb. 10th @ COUGAR FIELD.  Admission:   $5.00: Adults   $2.00: Students, Children, Seniors
  4. Tomorrow night is senior night at the gym.  Come cheer our great seniors in their last regular season home game and enjoy games and music.  Tip Off is 7 pm
  5. Craft Club will have a craft sale next Wednesday, 2/11, at lunchtime.  We will sell hand-painted iPhone 6 cases, origami roses, and other crafts.
  6. Save the date!  AHS Theater Ensemble’s winter musical, “Annie Get Your Gun,” runs from March 12th thru March 15th.  Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults.  Buy them online at http://albanyagyg.brownpapertickets.com/ to reserve your place at Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show!  See you there!
  7. Don't miss your chance to send a personal card, candies, flowers, cupcakes, and a singing telegram courtesy of Vocal Soul to your friends, teachers, and loved ones! Valentine's Grams are sold today at lunch and after school, and we have a limited supply of special packages --- don't delay! 
  8. BSU bake sale today in front of the school.  Come and get some baked goods.
  9. Come down to the Venture Store to get an early start on your Valentine presents for a friend, family member or significant other.  Items include bracelets, bead necklaces and more!  Venture – where the love begins!

College and Career
  1. Attention Juniors: If you are interested in participating in Job Shadow Day, please turn in all of the required documents to Ms. Fan in the FLEX office by today.
  2. Attention Seniors:  Looking for up to $10,000 of free money for college? The Berkeley Kiwanis Scholarship application is now available in the Counseling Office. Apply Now. The application deadline is Friday, March 20th.
Clubs and Teams
  1. Tryouts for the boys tennis team will begin Monday February 9th at the tennis courts beginning at 345. You cannot tryout unless your med forms and grades have been cleared.

  3. BSU is moving their potluck from February 19th to February 12th.
  4. The Model UN Club will meet at lunch on Wednesday, Feb. 11 in the Little Theater.  Attendance is mandatory for all students planning to attend the Berkeley Model UN Conference later this month.
