General

1.      Attention all students who signed up to take AP Comparative Government/World Religions next year, as part of  a six period or a seven period day.  Please attend one of the following two meetings to pick up your summer reading and work assignments:  Thursday, 5/26 at lunch in the Little Theater or Friday, 5/27 in Room 18.  If you do not attend one of these meetings, you must see Mr. James in person before 2:15pm on Friday, June 3 or you will be dropped from the class.

2.      Come see the AHS dance show tonight @ 7pm and tomorrow @ 8pm. 

3.       Dance 2 students rehearsal Friday during Advisory in the multipurpose room.

4.      The G.S.A. is hosting a showing of “The Laramie Project” tonight at 7pm in the AHS Library.

5.      Buy any book or Starbucks item at the El Cerrito Barnes and Noble this Saturday and a portion of your purchase will be donated to the AHS Library. You must mention at the time of purchase that you are purchasing on the behalf of Albany High. If you are too busy on Saturday, you can shop online at barnesandnoble.com using Bookfair ID# 10482818  between May 21 - May 23.

6.      Students who have completed an AP English Application need to attend one of two summer assignment meetings, Monday May 23 or Tuesday May 24 in room 126 at lunch.  If you cannot attend either of these meetings, see Mr. Bailes to make other arrangements.  Students who do not pick up summer materials will be dropped from AP English.

7.      The deadline for Honors English applications is Friday May 20.  Students planning to take Honors need to attend one of two summer assignment meetings, Thursday May 26 or Friday May 27 in room 214 at lunch.  If you cannot attend either of these meetings, see Mr. Purdom to make other arrangements.  Students who do not pick up summer materials will be dropped from Honors English.

8.      Last week to pre-order a yearbook.  Price is $85 (cash or check payable to AHS) See Ms. Chiarella in Rm. 206 or 214.

9.      Intra-mural Softball playing today:  Grease Cleaners vs Mighty Morphin Flower Arrangers

10.  Today’s lunch menu: Deli Sandwiches, Garden Bar, Enchilada Pie, & Chicken Taco

11.  Vegetarian menu: Veggie Taco, Fruit &  Milk
