General

1.      “Are you interested in joining Peer Help, the student group which presents each year to IHS classes on such topics as sexual health, drugs, and depression? Peer Help is accepting applications from current sophomores and freshmen for next year. You have one day to get your application at the counseling office and turn it in to Ms. Tanner tomorrow Wednesday, May 18." 

2.      Come see the AHS dance show Thursday, May 19 @ 7pm and Friday, May 20 @ 8pm.  Come enjoy a wide variety of songs and dances from country, to lyrical, to hip-hop.  Performance is free, but bring money to purchase snacks during intermission. 

3.      All Dance 2 students come to the multi purpose room Wednesday and Friday during advisory for rehearsal.

4.      Students who have completed an AP English Application need to attend one of two summer assignment meetings, Monday May 23 or Tuesday May 24 in room 126 at lunch.  If you cannot attend either of these meetings, see Mr. Bailes to make other arrangements.  Students who do not pick up summer materials will be dropped from AP English.

5.      The deadline for Honors English applications is Friday May 20.  Students planning to take Honors need to attend one of two summer assignment meetings, Thursday May 26 or Friday May 27 in room 214 at lunch.  If you cannot attend either of these meetings, see Mr. Purdom to make other arrangements.  Students who do not pick up summer materials will be dropped from Honors English.

6.      If you would like a school planner, no charge, see Ms. Salas in the bookroom.

7.      Last week to pre-order a yearbook.  Price is $85 (cash or check payable to AHS) See Ms. Chiarella in Rm. 206 or 214.

8.      AHS art show today and Wednesday from 6:00-8:30 in rooms 128 and 132 of the arts building.

9.      Intramural Softball TODAY during LUNCH -  Pannini’s vs Golddiggers

10.  Today’s lunch menu: Deli Sandwiches, Garden Bar, Pasta w/Meat Sauce, & Chicken Burrito

11.  Vegetarian menu: BRC Burrito, Fruit &  Milk

College/Career

1.      Free Online Prep for the PSAT, SAT and ACT.   If you would like to take advantage of a free online test                     prep program -come by the counseling office to find out the promotional codes for the Kaplan Test Prep free programs.  Individual prices for these programs are $50.00.

  4. Attention all those who want to play Men's Basketball next school year. There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday, May 19 at 3:30 pm in the men's locker room.
