General
  1. Seniors will report to their advisory classes on Friday. Roll will be taken after which teachers will bring their students to the gym. Our cap & gown representative from Achievers will hand out information packets and answer questions regarding graduation products. Be sure you don’t miss this very important meeting. Packets should be taken home. Remember the earlier you order your cap and gown the less it will cost.
  2. Come out and support the JV/V Football teams as they host St. Mary’s H.S. in the 1st Annual TCAL Rivalry Game @ Cougar Field on Friday! JV game starts @ 4:00, Varsity @ 6:30. All AHS students are admitted FREE ONLY if you have your student I.D., otherwise, you will have to pay a $2.00 admission fee! While there, drop by the concessions stand and try some raspberry sorbet – handmade by the Albany Culinary Arts students. On sale this Friday only! Come support your team and Culinary Arts!
  3. Want to study abroad for FREE this summer? Come to the Global Navigator Scholarship information meeting this Thursday at 6:00 PM in Room 213. Albany High students will share guaranteed funds of at least $25,000. Parents are also invited to chat with the CIEE program rep and last year's Global Navigator alums who received $62,000 in scholarship funding.
  4. Surely you want your school pictures. Someone wants them! Pick them up in the attendance office.
  5. Lunchtime Doubles Badminton tournament starts this Friday, September 30th. Please be on time. We have 16 teams competing and best of luck to all.
  6. Don’t have time to change in the mornings? No problem. This Friday wear your favorite pjs to school.
  7. Got mad hip hop skills? Then come audition for Albany Hip Hop Crew on Thursday, September 29th at 3:50 pm in the multipurpose room. 
  8. We have extended the PSAT registration. We still have a few seats left and will stop selling when the seats run out. So please see Ms. Salas in the bookroom as soon as possible if you want to register for the PSAT.
  9. After this Monday's debate, you may be wondering how you can get involved in this year's electoral process. Here's how! Sign-up with The Alameda County Registrar to assist voters at polling places during the Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 8th. Bi-,Tri- & Multi-language speakers (especially Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese) are encouraged to apply. Applications are available in Ms. Parrott's outbox. If you have any questions, please contact the Recruiting Unit at (510) 272-6971.
  10. There is a sugary drink tax measure on the Nov ballot in Albany. If you want to find out more about the issue, please contact info@albanysodatax.com or talk to Ms. O’Keefe in Rm 311. We welcome student participation.
  11. It’s that time of the year again where you don’t want to “fall” behind!!! Venture has all your school supplies for 20% off a $5 purchase thru the 30th. Get your school supplies at the Venture Store located in the gym lobby. We gotcha covered!

Please be sure to upload your updated Medical Clearance form to your online account. Hard copies will not be accepted.
