Block B Schedule

  1. Attention young entrepreneurs! It will soon be time to choose classes for next year and the Venture Program offers an opportunity to become a part of a real store on campus. Develop marketing and accounting skills. Reach your business potential. Come to an informational meeting on March 13th during lunch in Rm 202 to learn more. Your road starts here.
  2. Are you kept up at night wondering what your cat would look like inside-out? Do you long to massacre a small community of fruit flies? Could you use assistance in developing a crippling caffeine addiction? If you answered yes to any of these questions (or if you are just interested in how life works) then you are a perfect candidate for AP Bio. Come to the meeting in room 306 at lunch on Thursday to learn more!
  3. Please come to the Albany High/Middle School art show at 842 Masonic Ave (right next to the Senior Center) for some food, music and to see the amazing art this Thursday from 4:00 to 5:30!
  4. Sophomores who are about to be Juniors: Are you inquisitive, flexible, creative, responsible, or conscientious? Are you interested in looking deeply into some of our modern challenges? If so, then you're perfect for EDSET! Come to the informational meeting Thursday at lunch in room 304 to find out more.
  5. If you are a Junior or Senior who signed up to help with debates and this is your first year volunteering, you will receive a pass to go to the library for a mandatory training session this week on the Advisory day you said was best for you. Go to your regular advisory - your pass will be waiting for you there. Then come to the library. 
  6. Seniors: you have until today to verify your diploma name. If you haven’t already done so please check with your advisory teacher. If your advisory teacher no longer has the list please come by the main office to verify.
  7. Attention AP students: registration and payment for AP exams are due this Thursday, March 12th, to Ms. Fan in the FLEX office.
  8. Do you hate or love Noodle Tools? The founder and designer of Noodle Tools will be in the library this Wednesday during 4th, lunch and 6th. They are looking for suggestions from students and teachers about how to make their product easier and better to use. They are also looking for people who are interested in being photographed using Noodle Tools for the redesign of their website. See Ms. Oremland for more details. 
  9. Championship Game for Lunchtime 3 on 3 Basketball is this Friday, March 13th in the gym. Playing is the #5 seed The Mighty Pears vs the #6 seed, The Teacher Team. Both teams eliminated the #1 and #2 seeds of the tournament to advance to the finals.
  10. Seniors:  Please check your school emails for a message from Ms. Radford titled “Senior Statistics”. Take the enclosed yearbook survey ASAP! Thanks.
  11. Pie a teacher for Pi Day! This Friday come to the courtyard at lunch to pie teachers for $2 per pie.
  12. Come eat at Zachary’s Pizza on Solano today to donate 15% of your bill to help build a school in Haiti. Just bring a flier which you can find in the main office or on social media. Many teachers are offering extra credit.
  13. Theater Ensemble's Annie Get Your Gun follows the story of Annie Oakley and her sharpshooting skills in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show of the late 1880s and early 1890s. Shows start tomorrow at 7pm! Tickets at the door are $10 for students, and you can purchase online in advance on Brown Paper Tickets!
