Block B Schedule

General
  1. Hey Cougars:  It is Petition time!!  If you want to request a schedule change, you must fill out a petition. If you have already submitted a P.E. waiver to drop PE second semester you need to fill out a petition to request the drop.  Petitions are available in the main office starting Wed. 1/14 at 12 pm. The petitions must be returned to the main office by Friday 1/16 at 3:40 pm.  Please be aware that most classes are full and there are very limited possibilities for a schedule change.
  2. Congratulations to Lin Zhu, Class of 2017. Lin worked very hard and competed in the Stanford Brain Bee on Saturday, a neuroscience competition for high school students. She came in 2nd place by only ONE question, just missing the chance to advance to Nationals! The Science Department is very proud of Lin's accomplishment and hard work, and looks forward to competing again next year.
  3. Would you like to win a cash prize for reading a really interesting book? Pick a copy of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, the true story of how the cancer cells of an African American woman named Henrietta changed medical science forever. Contest details are at both our school library or the public library, or just google the phrase "Albany Reads"
  4. Interested in playing 3 on 3 basketball at lunch? Please turn rosters and team name into Ms Vasarhely no later than Wed, 1/21. Only one varsity BB player per team. Questions, see Ms V.
