  1. The World Languages Department will hold its course information session tomorrow at lunch in the Little Theater. Find out about world language requirements for colleges and universities, AP classes and the Seal of Biliteracy Award! 
  2. It’s not too late to reserve a yearbook. To ensure you get one, purchase one by the end of March. Books generally sell out so bring $90 cash or check made out to Albany High School and return to Mrs. Radford in Rm. 206.
  3. Come hear the fabulous sounds of Albany High Jazz and R&B musicians and vocalists at Yoshi's Oakland, on Monday, February 8 at 8:00pm. It is a great evening for all, and ticket sales support music in all Albany schools. Ask any student in Jazz Band, Jazz Lab or Rhythm Bound for tickets or buy tickets online at Yoshis.com
  4. Valentine's Grams on sale all week at lunch and after school in front of the Art Building! Be sure to send your friends, teachers, and loved ones personalized cards and songs they won't forget! 
  5. Support AHS Women’s Soccer and the Albany Athletics Boosters by dining out today from 5:30-8:30 pm at Chipotle Mexican Grill at 9901 San Pablo in El Cerrito. Mention “Albany Athletics Boosters” when you pay for your order and Chipotle will donate 50% of the proceeds to AAB benefiting AHS Women’s Soccer. Go Cougars! 
College and Career
  1. The application period for 2016's Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program is open! If you are a girl and you want to learn how to code, then don't miss this opportunity. Applications are due March 1, 2016 at 11:59 PM PST. If you have questions, check out the FAQs on their website. They’re ready to help you at apply@girlswhocode.com!
  2. Want to take a look inside the FBI? Check out the FBI Teen Academy. This one-day course is held once a year on the third Friday in April. Please e-mail outreach.sf@ic.fbi.gov to be added to the distribution list. Applications are accepted this month of January only.
