General
  1. Five students from Albany High School competed against other top high school scholars in the 19th annual National Finals Competition of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB) this past weekend. The Albany High team won the Sea Lion Bowl regional competition in February at Stanford University and joined 23 other regional team winners (out of a total of 369 competing teams) at the Finals in Morehead City, North Carolina. This is the 3rd time students from Albany High have reached Nationals in recent years, and their first win. Among other prizes, they won an all expenses-paid trip to Monaco, the result of taking first-place. So congratulations to freshman Maria Fedyk, junior Andrew Liu, and seniors Andrey Krutchenko, Madeline Zhang, and Janice Shiu (captain). Come by Room 306 if you want to learn more and join a winning team!
