Block A Schedule

General
  1. CAHSEE Testing for 11th and 12th grade students who need to take the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) is happening this week. Today is the English portion and Tomorrow Oct 8th is the Math portion. Good Luck! 
  2. Sign up for the PSAT at lunch at the bookroom today -- final day of registration - don't miss your chance to sign up! $25 exact change or check to AUSD. Please bring your ID when you register. 
  3. Lip Sync approval will be held in Rm 22 of the Art Building today for the Freshmen & Juniors and October 9 after school in Room 22 for Seniors and Sophomores. 
  4. Freshman decorations meeting this Wednesday during lunch in Rm 315. All freshmen welcome to come – no artistic skills necessary – the more the merrier! 
  5. Attention all club presidents! There will be a council of presidents meeting this Wednesday during advisory in Rm 209. It is crucial that you attend this meeting. We will finalize booths for Town of Terror. If the president cannot attend, please send another representative as booth options will be extremely limited after this meeting! 
  6. The Albany Theater Ensemble will hold auditions/callbacks for our play “You Can’t Take It With You” today in the theater at 3:45pm. For questions contact Chelsea Calderon. 
  7. You need a binder so you can avoid turning in your math homework to your history teacher! Come by the Venture store to purchase binders and keep your work organized! 
College and Career
  1. Please join the Counseling Department for our annual College Night on Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 pm. Representatives UC, CSU, Community College and private colleges will discuss admissions, academics, special programs and financial aid and answer your questions. We'll also have sessions on SAT/ACT including a session on changes to the SAT for the class of 2017, and an overview of the college application process especially for 11th graders. The event is especially for Juniors and Seniors but all are welcomed.
