  2. Congrats to AHS Speech team for their excellent performance this past weekend. Shout outs to junior Julia Glasser and freshman Helena Tremblay for making it into the finals for impromptu and original poetry and prose!
  3. Have you submitted a Cougar concern? Well, leadership has answered them! Find them at the leadership board in the first floor hallway! The Cougar concerns box is always open for questions, comments and suggestions in the counseling office!
  4. Tomorrow is Cocoa for Carpools. Make sure to carpool to school for free hot chocolate in the front of the school or gym entrance. You also get baked goods if you walk.
  5. Buy delicious desserts Friday after school in front of the school to support Deca Club.
  6. Did you know that EMT/Paramedic/Firefighters in CA make between 90-150K depending upon education and experience? You can start your training while still in high school, and continue to train at Merritt College in 2 years or less after high school! If you are interested in learning more, come listen to Firefighter Captain Demond Simmons talk in room (306) on Friday 12/11during lunch about careers and training.
  7. Come out and cheer the men’s soccer team at their opening home game and first league game against St. Marys today. JV kick-off is at 4:00, Varsity at 6:00. The team will be doing a fundraiser for one of the player’s families who has a medical situation. There will be a $5 suggested donation for adults, $2 for students, as well as snack items for sale during the game. So please come out to both support the team and help one of our families through this difficult time. Go Cougars!!
  8. Not sure how to deliver your holiday gifts? Venture can help! On Wednesday, 12/16, and Friday, 12/18, a secret Santa in a real Santa suit will help to deliver your gifts along with holiday music. Secret Santa delivery is a dollar. Come sign up at the Venture Store today!
  9. The lost and found will be donated on Dec. 15. Check for lost items in the Attendance Office.

  11. Key Club is selling Winter Wonder Candy Cards starting this Wednesday at lunch in the atrium until next Tuesday. Its only $1 for a card and a treat (rice krispie or brownie) and we’ll deliver them for you!
  12. SF State surveys are by this Thursday. Turn in materials outside the main office for $10.00.
  13. Over spending during the holidays? Need a job? The Albany Aquatics Center is looking to fill several lifeguard and swim instructor positions. You do not need any prior training or experience, although it is a plus. We will train upon hire and set you up to be a successful member of our team. Stop by the Aquatics Center and pick up an application, we look forward to meeting you.
