Block A Schedule

  1. Students who have registered for the PSAT this Saturday, October 15 must arrive by 8am. Your specific testing room will be posted in front of the Counseling Office. Please bring a #2 pencil and an approved calculator (check your registration packet page 24).
  2. Be sure to attend Friday night’s annual Cross Country Talent Show in the Little Theater from 6-8 pm. Don’t miss out on seeing our talented athletes perform singing duets, monologues, dance routines, magic tricks and much more….In addition, there will be a raffle of some special prizes. Refreshments will be available. Donation requested.
  3. Homecoming is October 17th – 21st. Get your school spirit on! Check out the leadership board for the full homecoming schedule. A list of possible homecoming points (and deductions) ae also posted there. Go cougars! Powderpuff prelims today: sophomores will take on the seniors. 
  4. Albany Aquatic Center is looking for students to work at the pool as swim instructors and lifeguards. No experience needed. Pick up an application at the Aquatic Center.
  5. Homecoming is right around the corner. Get your homecoming gear now at the Venture Store during lunch or after school and “rep your color”.
  6. Be sure to stop by the Soccer Without Borders bake sale today after school.
College and Career

  3. Come chat with the person who may be reading your college application. Times and locations are listed in the College Visits section in Naviance, on the Calendar in the AHS website and on the sign-up sheet in the Counseling Office. Space is limited and lists are subject to close at any time so sign-up today! 
  4. Please join the Albany High Counselors for our annual College Night on Wednesday, October 26th from 7:00-9:00pm in the AHS Theater. Learn about the college admissions process from reps from California public university systems and private schools. The evening is primarily for AHS Juniors and Seniors and their families, but all are welcome to attend!
  5. Attention Seniors: Have you thought about taking a Gap Year after high school, but not sure what you want to do with it? Consider about traveling around the world! If this opportunity interests you, sign up with Ms. Parrott in the Counseling Office to visit with Rustic Pathways next week.
