Block A Schedule

  1. Congratulations to the members of the Albany High School Model UN Club who attended the Davis Model UN Conference last weekend for being named the Outstanding Small Delegation at the Conference. In addition to the team award, Alex Hempel was named the Best Delegate and the Research Award winner in his Conference committee while Sarah Xu won Honorable Mention recognition and a Research Award in her committee. Albany Students Sophia Kamps and Andrew Liu also won Research Awards at the Conference.
  2. Please check the white board outside the counseling office for AP summer work meetings. Note: not all classes hold such meetings. There will also be postings of class list of students who are enrolled in the classes.
  3. AP Spanish will NOT hold a lunch meeting. Packets will be distributed in Spanish 4next week Tues-Fri. Students not currently enrolled in Spanish 4 should stop by Room 213 at lunch to pick up a packet before June 10.
  4. Attention Design and Build students! There is a meeting tomorrow at lunch in Mr. Castle’s room, 109B. Bring your completed paperwork. Check your school email today for details. Any questions, email Ms. Risk.
  5. AP chemistry textbooks & summer HW will be passed out in room 303 during lunch on Tuesday & Wednesday next week. Please see or email Mr. Place if there is a conflict.
  6. Mandatory Lunch meeting for all AP and honors art students in room 126 today.
  7. Come to DECA Club’s Krispy Kreme sale Friday after school in front of the art building to buy delicious donuts!
  8. The VENTURE store will be closing for the year on Friday! Get your flashcards, poster board and other finals school supplies NOW. We are no longer accepting custom t-shirt orders, but our samples and bloopers are for sale at a discount through Friday. Come check it out at lunch or after school.
  9. Today and Friday are the choirs’ 9th Annual Variety Show. The show starts at 7:00 in the Little Theater. 
College and Career
  1. ​Attention Senior Athletes! Are you planning on playing your respective sport in college next year? If so, then please stop by the Athletic Office to give us the details! We want to make sure we recognize all our seniors who plan on playing at the collegiate level.

  4. Boy's Tennis Team: Your tennis uniforms need to be turned in to the athletic office at lunch any day this week or a fine card will be issued. Seniors who do not turn them in by Friday will not get their diploma.
  5. It’s the end of the year and we are looking for students interested in starting a club for creating and publishing comics. If interested please come to our meeting during lunch in Rm 128 on Tuesday, May 31st.
