Block A Schedule
  1. If you checked out a library book at the beginning of the year, you should check your due date. Your book may now be due. 
  2. The projects are coming! The projects are coming!  The VENTURE store has what you need -- poster board, glue sticks, sharpies, colored pencils and markers.  The VENTURE store is open every day at lunch, after school Tuesday to Thursday and before school on Wednesday and Friday.  Find us in the Gym Lobby.
  3. Interested in helping your peers?  Are you an expert in any of your subjects (math, English, science or history)?  Then apply to be a PAID FLEX TUTOR!  Pick up an application in the FLEX office from Ms. Bakshi.  Apps are due 9/27!
  4. The window for updating student info on the parent portal ( will close on September 30. Parents must go online to update emergency contacts and other important information.
  5. Picture Make-up Day is today. Students who were not photographed on the first day of school are being sent passes during class. Students who want re-takes may go to the library during break or lunch. Staff members who have not been photographed should go to the library when it is convenient.
  6. Juniors:  vote for class t-shirts on Friday in front of the school at lunch and online.  The link is posted on the 2015 Class Facebook page.
  7. Root beer and coke floats on sale Friday after school.  Floats will be $1.25 and will be sold by the junior student council.
  8. All this week, freshmen class t-shirts will be sold outside the main building at lunchtime.  Bring $15 for the t-shirt.  Make checks payable to Albany High School.
  1. PSAT signup
    • Cost: $25 cash or check payable to A.U.S.D.  Please bring your student ID when registering.
    • Available to Juniors Friday during lunch, outside bookroom window.  
    • Sophomores can register starting Mon., 9/30 & Wed., 10/1
    • All grades on Friday, 10/4.
  2. PSAT testing will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19th, 8am-Noon.  For more information about the test visit

  2. Math Club meeting Tuesday at lunch Rm 312.  New members welcome.
  3. Science Bowl meeting Monday at lunch Rm 313.  Informational meeting for NEW MEMBERS.
  4. The Robotics Club will meet this Friday at lunch in Rm 310.  We will be burning stuff.  New members welcome!
  5. Earth Team meets on today at lunch in Rm 302.  New members welcome.  Free candy will be provided.
  6. The Comix Club is meeting today at lunch in the library.
  7. UNICEF Club meeting this Friday (9/27) in Rm 214.  We will be discussing upcoming events for this year.  All new members are welcome!
  1. Please release the girls’ golf team at 2:00 tomorrow for their match.
  2. Please excuse tennis team players today at 2:20 for their match.
