Block A Schedule

  1. Yearbooks still available for $85 -- registration pricing extended to the end of September.  Last chance to purchase before prices go up.  See Ms. Chiarella in room 206.
  2. Attention Juniors – Class t-shirts are now on sale for $12 at lunch in front of the bookroom window.  The will only be on sale until Friday so make sure you get yours.
  3. Coming soon:  Albany Cougars t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and spirit items for Homecoming.  Limited supply – get them while they last.  PAHS (Promoting Albany High Sports) will sell them on campus  mid-October.  Exact date to follow.
  4. Attention current and former AHS French students.  Another fun and exciting tour of France is in the works.  Come see Paris and the Riviera with us!  Come to room 209 at lunch on today to get more information!  A parent meeting about the France trip will be held this Thursday evening at 7:00pm in room 209.  Students are also welcome.
  1. The following colleges are visiting AHS this week:  Mills College, St. Mary's College, Macalester College, Evergreen State University, Whittier College, Academy of Art University, and Barnard College.  Please sign-up at the Counseling Office.
Club/Team Announcements
  1. Like free snacks and tea?  Then come chill with the Tea Club on Wednesdays at lunch in Rm 208.
  2. Wrestling – There will be a sign-up meeting Wednesday, 10/3 at lunch in the wrestling room – All invited.
  3. Come to the first Latino pride meeting Wednesday at lunch in Rm 104.  New members welcome.
  4. Wanna learn how to play tennis?  Join tennis club!  Already know how? Join tennis club!  Meeting today at lunch in Rm 110.
  5. There will be a Boys Basketball meeting TODAY at lunch.  Everyone should meet in ROOM 217 no later than 12:50pm.  All those interested in participating on the Boys Basketball  team are expected to attend.
  6. Model UN -- Wednesday at lunch in Rm. 207. New members who are interested in learning more about international diplomacy are encouraged to attend.
  7. All Theater Ensemble actors & techies must show up to the mandatory read-through today after school in the Little Theater.  If you have conflicts come after school this week and talk to Andrea or Elisabeth.
  8. First official Book Addicts Anonymous meeting today at lunch in the library.
