Block B Schedule

General
  1. Attention Students: Beginning Friday, Oct. 11, we will institute the following new policies/protocols for home football games @ Cougar Field.
    • All backpacks/bags brought to the field will be inspected upon entrance to the field.
    • Admission will be charged for both JV & Varsity games.  Students will no longer be admitted free of charge during the JV game. 
  2. Please check out Samantha Olmos’, Lily Hopwood’s, Bailey Kobelin’s, Madeline Zhang’s, Joe Suk’s, Briana Jackson’s, Frank Guess’, Trudy Smith’s, Jackson Chin’s  & Ashley Zhu’s beautiful artwork hanging in the main office.
  3. If you purchased an athletic pass and didn't get one, see Ms. Salas in the book-room.
  4. Come to the World Vision bake sale today after school for some yummy baked goods.  Help us support a child in need.
  5. Make up photos are here. Pick them up in the Attendance Office.
  6. The Venture Store is open today at lunch and after school.  We have AHS hats, earrings, and necklaces!
  7. The volleyball team asks that you please wear pink tomorrow for Breast Cancer Awareness.
  8. Hey Seniors!  Want to retake your senior portraits?  Come down to the library next Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  Bring $10 per outfit change and a smile.  Be sure to call and schedule your appointment at 510/572-1500.
  9. Freshmen t-shirts are sold at lunch in front of the main office.  They are $15 each.
  10. Juniors: T-shirt sales will be at lunch today and Thursday for $15.  Come order the t-shirt to show other classes that “we will rise above all.”!
College/Career
  1. College Night is tonight at 7:00 in the Little Theater! Reps from various college systems will discuss admissions, programs, and more! This is a great event for juniors and seniors, but all are welcome.
  2.  Last day to register for the PSAT is Monday, 10/14. Bring payment of $25 cash or check to the book-room window at lunch on Wednesday or Monday to register for the October 19 test. Photo ID required.
  3. Seniors need help with your University of California (UC) application. Please come to the UC application help tips on Monday October 14th at lunch in the little theater.  Counselors will be going over the application process and helpful tips for filling it out!
Clubs/Teams
  1. Key Club meeting today during lunch in Rm 302.
  2. Do you like to bake? Are you an aspiring beginner that wants to learn?  Come to the Bake Club in Rm 207 at lunch. 
  3. Come fight with 2-D swords. The Munchkin Club will meet this Tuesday at lunch in the library.  See you there for a fun D & D style card game.
  4. Earth Team meets on Thursday at lunch in Rm 302.  New members welcome!  Snacks will be provided.
  5. Womens Soccer Pre-Tryout Meeting Thursday October 10th at Lunch.  If you are interested in trying out for the program this year, come to this important meeting to get all the information you need before tryouts in November.  We will meet right at the beginning of lunch in room 218.   6. You’re cordially invited to join the Gay Straight Alliance for a formal mixer today at lunch in Rm 204.  There will be food, fun and apple cider.  Bring a friend and we’ll see you there.
  7. The Ocean Protection league will meet today at lunch in Rm 304.  There will be banana bread and we will be discussing our first coastal clean-up.  See you there.
  8. If you missed the AHS Wrestling sign ups you need to pick up an Athletic Clearance form from the main office. Those athletes currently participating in after school athletics must also pick up a form.
  9. The Model UN Club will meet today at lunch in Room 207.
  10. Fashion Design Club meets today during lunch in M4 at the end of the modular.  Aside from providing info about club activities and the spring fashion show, there will be food!
