Block A Schedule

  1. If you are participating in UNICEF presentations today, please meet in the atrium at 12:30.  You will receive a pass to leave class 15 minutes early from 5th period.  If you are presenting on Friday, please meet in the atrium at 12:45.
  2. Interested in playing co-ed 6 v 6 lunchtime indoor soccer??? Please turn rosters into Ms. V no later than Friday, 11/2. Team must include appropriate name and include both males and females with no more than 1 varsity male and female soccer athlete.
  3. If you have ever considered becoming a lifeguard, the Albany Aquatic Center is offering an American Red Cross lifeguard certification class, to be offered on Sundays for 6 weeks. Lifeguarding offers great job opportunities during the summer or when you're off to college.  For those of you who are interested in babysitting or want to become responsible members of the community with the training to respond to emergency situations, the Albany Aquatic Center is also offering First Aid/CPR & AED classes on the weekends.  Please contact the Albany Aquatic Center for details regarding course dates and costs.
  4. On Friday, 10/26, seniors will report to advisory where attendance will be taken.  Your advisory teacher will then take you to the gym for a presentation from Achievers, our cap & gown company.  The representative will hold an informational meeting re: graduation orders. 
Club/Team Announcements
  1. Congratulations to the following varsity volleyball players for making All-League:  1st team:  Amber Erhahon, Brooke Tannahill and Kyra Holt.  2nd team:  Mia Jauregui.  Congratulations also to Kyra Hold for receiving League MVP 3 years in a row.
  2. Anyone interested in playing softball in the spring should attend a mandatory information meeting today in Rm 315 at lunch.
  3. There will be an informational meeting for the Boys Soccer team on Friday, Oct. 26th at Lunch in Room 217.  Those who are interested in playing this season should attend this meeting.  Tryouts begin Monday, Nov. 5th.
  4. Art Club meeting today at lunch in Rm 128.  All are welcome.
  5. Game Design meeting today at lunch in Rm 213.  We’ll be starting on character designs this week.
  6. Debate Club -- today afterschool in Rm. 201
  7. Women's Soccer program informational meeting:  Are you interested in being a part of the women's soccer program?  Meet the head coach and get information regarding try-outs and the upcoming winter season.  New and returning players welcome.  Thursday October 25 at 12:55 in room 217.
