Block B Schedule

  1. Congratulations to the women’s tennis team:  TCAL league co-champions!!  Congratulations to all players who participated at the TCAL league playoffs:  Maya Delany, Jenny Wu, April Ngo, Thalia Brown, Allison Chuang and Karla Guerrero.  Allison Chuang finished second in the singles league championships and April Ngo & Thalia Brown finished first in the doubles league championships.
  2. Lost and Found: the lost and found will be donated on Tuesday, November 6. Please check in the Attendance Office for Lost and found items.
  3. Also in the library today: Sign up to pledge to do a Random Act of Kindness. Being random is really fun, but being kind is even better. 
  4. The lost and found is full of lost shoes, clothing, keys, phones, etc. Come to the attendance office to claim lost items before they are donated or discarded.
  5. Interested in becoming a writer? Like to read books about teen issues you can relate to? Come to the library at lunch today and meet 4 successful Young Adult authors. They will be here to give tips on being a writer and just to chat. All are welcome. 
  6. All participants for the trip to Europe w/Ms. DeHart, there is a mandatory meeting on Monday, 11/5, at lunch in Rm 215 re: fundraising.
  1. If you did not fill out a Career Day Selection Sheet during Wednesday's Advisory, please pick up a copy from Ms. Fan at the Counseling Office.  Students without a completed form will be randomly assigned to their Career Day sessions.
Club/Team Announcements
  1. BuildOn meeting today at lunch in Rm 206.  We will be working on our campaign letters.
  2. Robotics Club -- today at lunch in Rm. 313.
  3. Women's Soccer Tryouts- Wednesday November 7- Friday November 9th 6pm-8pm.  Meet at Cougar field located behind Albany Middle School with cleats shin guards and a pair of running shoes.  Make sure you have turned in all your paperwork ASAP otherwise you will not be allowed to tryout.  Any questions?  Please email head coach Lilia Bello
  4. Test Prep Club has formed collaboration with UC Berkeley’s People’s Test Prep Services for this week’s club meeting today at lunch in Rm. 301.    They will be holding a free SAT verbal focus workshop covering reading and writing, especially on the SAT essay and critical reading strategies.  We hope to see you there!
