General
  1. Last day to contribute to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Please show your compassion by donating as much as you can. The main office will have jars for coins, and a box to receive cash or check donations before school, each break and lunch, and after school through the end of the day. Donations will go directly to the Red Cross which is the main organization getting supplies and meals and water into affected areas. Checks should be made out to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
  2. Auditions for Theater Ensemble’s musical, “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” will be after school on Monday, 11/26, and Tuesday, 11/27. You must attend BOTH days. Audition forms and monologues available after school today and the day of auditions. More information available today after school and on the Theater Ensemble Facebook page “AHS Theatre Ensemble
  3. The Senior Panoramic picture will be taken on Friday, Nov. 30 in advisory. Order forms are available in the attendance office. No shipping charges will apply for orders placed before the photo date.
  4. Sophomores, if you would still like to purchase this year’s class t-shirt, please contact Selena Yao or Yumi Kobayashi by facebook, school email or just stop us in the hallway. $15 per shirt. Thank you.
Club/Team Announcements
  1. Come to the Latino Pride meeting on Monday during lunch in Rm 104. It’s an important meeting. New members welcome!
  2. The Japanese Club will have a meeting this Tuesday at lunch in Ms. Fujiwara’s room. New members welcome!
  3. Arab Student Union emergency meeting today after school in Rm 207. We will be discussing the current events in Gaza and talking about ways to raise money for the people of Gaza. Non-members are welcomed to come and participate.
  4. The Mural Project Club is hosting a bake sale right after school today. There will be cookies, brownies, cupcakes and more; each under $2. Be sure to get to the table before your favorite snacks run out!
