Monday Schedule

General
  1. Coins Cash and Checks for Hurricane Relief 
    • Albany High School is stepping up before the Thanksgiving holiday in support of the many thousands of victims of Hurricane Sandy. Please show your compassion by donating as much as you can. We will have jars for coins, and a box to receive cash or check donations before school, each break and lunch, and after school daily through Wednesday. Our donations will go directly to the Red Cross which is the main organization getting supplies and meals and water into affected areas. Checks should be made out to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
  2. The Senior Panoramic picture will be taken on Friday, Nov. 30 in advisory. Order forms are available in the attendance office. No shipping charges will apply for orders placed before the photo date.
  3. There will be a bake sale after school on Tuesday, November 20th. Come have some autumnal sweets to support Close-Up! 
  4. Sophomores, if you would still like to purchase this year’s class t-shirt, please contact Selena Yao or Yumi Kobayashi by facebook, school email or just stop us in the hallway. $15 per shirt. Thank you.
College/Career
  1. Yale University Science and Engineering Department will be coming to AHS on Tuesday, 11/20, at 11:10 a.m. for a college visit. Students interested in studying science and engineering at Yale are encouraged to attend. Please sign up at the Counseling Office.
Club/Team Announcements
  1. Debate Club -- Today at lunch in Rm. 201 
  2. Robotics Club -- Today afterschool in Rm. 310. All those interested in participating in the UC Berkeley Pioneers in Engineering Robotics Competition next spring should plan on attending. New members are encouraged to attend as well. 
  3. Arab Student Union emergency meeting on Wednesday after school in Rm 207. We will be discussing the current events in Gaza and talking about ways to raise money for the people of Gaza. Non-members are welcomed to come and participate.
  4. The Mural Project Club is hosting a bake sale Wednesday right after school. There will be cookies, brownies, cupcakes and more; each under $2. Be sure to get to the table before your favorite snacks run out!
  5. Best Buddies Annual Thanksgiving Day Potluck Tuesday, November 20th, Lunchtime, Room 219. Please sign-up to bring a dish. Sign-up sheet outside Room 219.
