Block B Schedule

  1. Coins Cash and Checks for Hurricane Relief 
    • Albany High School is stepping up before the Thanksgiving holiday in support of the many thousands of victims of Hurricane Sandy.  Please show your compassion by donating as much as you can.  We will have jars for coins, and a box to receive cash or check donations before school, each break and lunch, and after school daily through Wednesday.  Our donations will go directly to the Red Cross which is the main organization getting supplies and meals and water into affected areas. Checks should be made out to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
  2. Congratulations to the women's tennis team players for participating in the NCS team competition against Branson High, a very good effort even with a loss.  Congratulations also to April Ngo and Thalia Brown playing doubles at NCS,making it to the second round and Allison Chuang playing in the finals and becoming our new NCS Singles Champion!  Allison defeated Stephanie Lin from Pinole, the defending NCS singles champion, in 3 hard fought sets.  Congratulations to the AHS Women's Tennis Team for 2012!
  3. There will be a bake sale after school on Tuesday, November 20th. Come have some autumnal sweets to support Close-Up! 
  4. Sophomores, if you would still like to purchase this year’s class t-shirt, please contact Selena Yao or Yumi Kobayashi by facebook, school email or just stop us in the hallway.  $15 per shirt.  Thank you.

  1. Yale University Science and Engineering Department will be coming to AHS on Tuesday, 11/20, at 11:10 a.m. for a college visit.  Students interested in studying science and engineering at Yale are encouraged to attend.  Please sign up at the Counseling Office.
Club/Team Announcements
  1. The Mural Project Club is hosting a bake sale Wednesday right after school.   There will be cookies, brownies, cupcakes and more; each under $2.  Be sure to get to the table before your favorite snacks run out!
  2. Best Buddies Annual Thanksgiving Day Potluck  Tuesday, November 20th, Lunchtime, Room 219. Please sign up to bring a dish.  Sign-up sheet outside Room 219."
