Block A Schedule

  1. Interested in acting, singing, tech work, and theater? Join theater's informational meeting about this year's all-school musical, Guys and Dolls, next Thursday at lunch in room 22.
  2. The lost and found is full of lost shoes, clothing, keys, phones, etc. Come to the attendance office to claim lost items before they are donated or discarded.
  3. Interested in becoming a writer? Like to read books about teen issues you can relate to? Come to the library at lunch on Friday and meet 4 successful Young Adult authors. They will be here to give tips on being a writer and just to chat. All are welcome. 
  4. All participants for the trip to Europe w/Ms. DeHart, there is a mandatory meeting on Monday, 11/5, at lunch in Rm 215 re: fundraising.
  5. REMINDER:  If you turned in a medical clearance form for a fall sport, you must bring in a completed donation form to have your paperwork transferred to the winter sport you wish to try out for.  Forms will not be pulled automatically. 
  6. Interested in playing co-ed 6 v 6 lunchtime indoor soccer??? Please turn rosters into Ms. V no later than Friday, 11/2. Team must include appropriate name and include both males and females with no more than 1 varsity male and female soccer athlete.

  1. If you did not fill out a Career Day Selection Sheet during Wednesday's Advisory, please pick up a copy from Ms. Fan at the Counseling Office.  Students without a completed form will be randomly assigned to their Career Day sessions.
Club/Team Announcements
  1. Fashion Design Club meets today in Rm M4.  Model applications are now being  accepted.  Please turn them in asap (first come first serve).  All makeup artists and stylists PLEASE come to discuss the models’ apparel – you know who you are!
  2. Leo’s Club meeting today during lunch in Rm 211.  All new members are welcome.
  3. Women's Soccer Tryouts- Wednesday November 7- Friday November 9th 6pm-8pm.  Meet at Cougar field located behind Albany Middle School with cleats shinguards and a pair of running shoes.  Make sure you have turned in all your paperwork ASAP otherwise you will not be allowed to tryout.  Any questions?  Please email head coach Lilia Bello
  4. Comix Club meets in the library at lunch today.
  5. Game Design Club - today at lunch in Rm 213.  We’ll be going over the basics of RPG Maker.
  6. Test Prep Club has formed a collaboration with UC Berkeley’s People’s Test Prep Services for this week’s club meeting on Friday at lunch in Rm. 301.    They will be holding a free SAT verbal focus workshop covering reading and writing, especially on the SAT essay and critical reading strategies.  We hope to see you there!
