Block A Schedule

  1. The AHS Junior/Senior Prom, "Come Sail Away With Me," will be held June 1st from 8pm to 12am on the Hornblower Yacht at Pier 3 in San Francisco.  . The event includes a 4 hour Bay cruise, a full dinner and dessert buffet, and two DJs and dance floors, one on each deck.  
    • Tickets will be sold before and after school on May 14th, 15th, and 16th.  The deadline for purchasing tickets is May 16th at 4pm.  All guest passes are due to Ms. Benau by Wednesday, May 15th at 4pm. No exceptions.  
    • Students can pick up dance agreements and guest passes in the Attendance Office. 
    • Ticket prices are $90 for seniors; $95 for juniors; $100 for all guests.
  2. A few Senior Panoramic photos are still available in the Attendance Office for $18.
  3. Star Test makeups are on Wed., May 15. Students who missed any star tests should report directly to the Little Theater at 7:40 on Wednesday. Questions, see Ms. Charlip.
  4. Did you enjoy IHS freshman year?   Do you like helping people and educating your peers? Then peer help may be for you! Applications to join the 2013 2014 peer help group are now available in the counseling office for freshman and sophomores. They are due May 10.
  5. The library will be closed 7:30am to 12:00pm today and Monday May 13th. Student who usually go to the library during these times/dates please make other arrangements such as enjoying the lovely spring weather by studying outside at the picnic tables.
  6. Tomorrow is the last day to put in your request for extra graduation tickets (no exceptions).  Request must be signed by a parent.

College and Career
  1. Saint Mary’s College of California is hosting the 22nd Annual East Bay College Connection on their campus in Moraga on Saturday May 11, 2013. Over 150 colleges and universities from across the U.S. and around the world will be on hand to answer questions about their universities. Workshops and presentations will also take place covering a range of topics from financial aid, athletics, and college planning.   Planners highly recommend students pre-register online and print their own registration at Parking will be limited. However, free transportation from Orinda BART is available starting at 12:20 pm.
Clubs and Teams
  1. Comix Club is meeting in the library tomorrow at lunch. Things are happening and there is exciting news. Be there!
  2. Men's Tennis Players, please return your uniforms to Ms. Salas at the bookroom (next to the attendance office) with your name included.
