Block B Schedule

  1. The Albany High School Men's Varsity Track & Field team has attained the highest goal of educational athletics, combining outstanding academic performance with interscholastic athletic participation.  Our team has earned the North Coast Section Scholastic Championship team award for the 2013 spring season with a team GPA of 3.35.  
  2. This award is presented to the top three NCS varsity teams in each division.  Recognizing that there are 170 schools in the NCS, this is an outstanding achievement.  
  3. Congratulations to our Men's Varsity Track & Field Team!
  4. Attention all students who have signed up to take AP Comparative Government and World Religions next year!  There will be two meetings next week for incoming AP Comparative Government students to pick up their summer assignments.  One will be held Thursday, May 30 at lunch in Room 207; the other will be held Friday, May 31 at lunch in Room 207. You must attend one of these meetings to keep your spot in the AP Comparative Government/World Religions sequence.
  5. This year's Senior Retreat will be to Great America.  Senior Retreat tickets are $35 and will be sold during lunch on Tuesday, 5/21, and Wednesday, 5/22.  No exceptions.  You must have a completed fieldtrip form to purchase a ticket.  Pick up the fieldtrip forms in the Attendance Office.
  6. The Theater Study class proudly presents its production of Pat Cook's play, Clockwork, a hilarious murder mystery comedy you won't want to miss! Come support a wonderful, talented cast and crew this Friday, May 24th at 8:00 pm. Tickets are available at the door.
  7. Today Lunchtime IM Softball...The Bombskies vs Black Hole.
  8. The Albany High School UNICEF Club is hosting a local benefit concert featuring Pinole High School’s Jazz Ensemble with 100% of the proceeds going to UNICEF.  The concert is at Anna Alumnae Hall in UC Berkeley on Friday, May 24, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.  Food will be sold and tickets are $10 per person.  To buy a ticket please find Julie Kao, Michelle Neu or any other UNICEF Club member.
College and Career
  1. Students are you interested in spending a week at Stanford this summer? Then come check out information about the HEAT ( Humanities, entrepreneurship and technology) student summer conference at Stanford this August. The counseling office has information regarding application, price etc...
  2. Seniors: if you did not complete an online senior exit survey in your economics class this month, please see Ms. Burns ASAP. Your final transcript will not be sent to your college if you don't complete this survey.
Clubs and Teams
  1. There will be a Cross Country meeting in Room 313 on Wednesday at noon…if you are interested in participating in the fall season, please come to this meeting.
  2. Attention all football players!...Spring football try-outs begin on Tuesday, 5/28.  Practice starts at 3:25 on the field.  Participation in spring football is MANDATORY if you plan on playing football.
