No. 111

  1. 10th graders: There will be an important meeting next Tuesday, March 6 at 7 PM in the AHS gym for all 10th graders and their parents or guardians. Counselors will be presenting information about high school graduation and college admissions planning. We encourage all 10th graders to attend. 
  2. Students interested in Honors English (current 10th graders) or AP English (current 11th graders) for the 2012/2013 school year need to attend one of two mandatory meetings, Wednesday March 7 or Friday March 9, at lunch in the Little Theater. You must attend to be considered for the classes. Please see Mr. Purdom in room 214 if you have questions or conflicts. 
  3. AP Comparative Government review sessions will begin Monday evening, March 12 at 7 pm in Room 207. 
  4. If you would like to donate to the Children’s Rare Disease Network, we’ll have a table at lunch time by the main office. 
  5. Costa Rica trip info meeting today @ lunch in Rm. 211. Students interested in traveling to Costa Rica this summer should attend this meeting! Nos Vemos! 
  6. Bike Parking - Please do not lock your bike to poles or trees along the sidewalk in front of the school. Use the bike racks behind the school by the gym entrance. 
  7. The Albany Film Fest is this Saturday from Noon to 7pm. There will be some great short films. $5 for all day admission and there will be FREE popcorn. 
  8. Today’s lunch menu: 
    • Deli Sandwiches, Garden/Sandwich Bar, Pizza, & Hot Dogs & Potatoes
    • Vegetarian menu: Sandwich & Garden Bar, Juice, Fruit & Milk 
  1. Attention Seniors: Looking for money for college? The AHS Local Scholarship application is now available. Download the application on the AHS website under “Scholarships.” Or come to the Counseling Office to pickup an application. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to earn money for college and be recognized at Awards Day.
