  1. Dearest Citizens: Which children's book character would be the best president? Would Harold and his purple crayon sponsor public works projects? How do you picture the Queen of Hearts' foreign policy? Vote for your favorite classic children's book characters all month in the library.
  2. The first AP Comparative Government exam review session will be held this evening at 7:00 pm in Room 207.
  3. Donate your used glasses to the main office to help kids in need.
  4. Interested in the environment? What about an off campus internship? Then you would probably be interested in EDSET. Come to an informational meeting at lunch on Thursday, March 15th in M4.
  5. Students interested in Journalism for the 2012/2103 school year have several options with corresponding informational meetings. Albany High will offer a new Broadcast Journalism course next year where students will produce television programming of sporting, performing arts and other Albany community events. A live demonstration of a broadcast will be held at lunch in the atrium on Wednesday March 14. There, you will see both the on-camera and technical, behind-the-camera skills that will be covered in the Broadcast Journalism course. Students interest in print and online journalism -- producing The Cougar newspaper on news site -- should attend a sign-up meeting at lunch on Thursday March 15 in room 214.A question and answer session on both Broadcast Journalism and regular Journalism will be held at lunch on Friday March 16 in room 109. See Mr. Castle (109) or Mr. Purdom (214) with any questions.
  6. Calling all writers, photographers, designers, and artists! Any student interested in yearbook for next year should come to a brief informational meeting on Friday, March 16, in room 214 at lunch. The course is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. No prior experience needed. Questions? See Ms. Chiarella in room 214 or 206.
