Block B Schedule

  1. Special schedule next week due to STAR testing.  Please refer to the AHS website’s front page ( for schedule. 
    • Monday, April 29th (57-minute classes)
      • 7:40 – 9:05 (Grades 9-11) CST Language Arts   Part 1 [85-minute exam]
      • 9:15 – 10:55(Grades 9-11) CST Language Arts  Part 2 [100-minute exam]
      • 10:55 – 11:05  Break
      • 11:10–12:07  2nd period
      • 12:07–12:52 Lunch
      • 12:57 –1:54 4nd period
      • 1:59 – 2:56  6th period
  2. Seniors must attend a mandatory assembly from  9:00am to 11:00 am on Monday, April 29th, regarding senior graduation requirements and CA Highway Patrol laws (in the Little Theater).
  3. All students grades 9-11 should check with their Advisory teachers to confirm where they will be taking STAR tests beginning Monday of next week. Some students were switched from their current advisory to other rooms for testing, so please confirm with your teachers. Also remember to eat a good breakfast, bring snacks, and reading materials for the testing sessions as electronics are not permitted. Happy STAR testing to all! Go CougarSTARs!
  4. The Albany Arts and Green Festival will be held in Memorial park on May 19 from 11am to 3pm, and there will be music food and fun! If you would like to volunteer before, during, or after the festival, sign up in the attendance office! This is a great opportunity to join in on the fun and help out the community!
  5. If you participated in Technovation please come to a final mandatory meeting today in the library during Advisory. See Ms. Oremland if there is a reason you cannot attend.
  6. The gym will be open for basketball at lunch today and next week Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday, and Friday. Come get your hoop on for the last weeks of open gym for the year.
  7. IM Softball is fast approaching. Last IM sport of the year. Rosters need to be turned into Ms Vasarhely by Friday, May 3rd. Team must include 5 men and 5 women with no more than 1 varsity baseball and softball player per team as well as an appropriate team name.

  1. Unicef meeting today in Rm 214 at lunch.
  1. Please release the softball team today at 1:40PM for their game at Salesian. Thank you!
  2. JV baseball should be released at 2:00pm.
