  1. Congratulations to Subeksha Sharma on her 5th place finish in state wide business competition at the California DECA Career Development Conference this past weekend.
  2. Congratulations to the following Albany High students for winning Research and Writing awards at last weekend’s Berkeley Model UN Conference: Terra Baer, Sophia Kamps, Dylan Kurzer-Ogul, Evan Mallah, Mathilde McKeever, Mahima Silwal, Michael Wang, Jared Williams, Sara Xu, and Alfred Yoon.
  3. Congratulations to all debates and speakers who compete in the State Qualifications tournaments over the past two weekends! Congrats to all public forum debates this year who helped AHS place 3rd this season in our regional league!
  4. AHS Theatre Ensemble presents Once Upon A Mattress! Come see a villainous, overdramatic & swampy version of the princess & the pea next week on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! Tickets are $10 for students and teachers, $15 for adults.
  5. Interested in watching short films by both local and international filmmakers, including your very own AHS school peers? Join us for the 7thannual Albany Filmfest on Solano on March 26th at the Albany Twin Theatre! You can purchase tickets for $8.50 per show or all day pass from 10am to 10pm shows.
College and Career

Clubs and Teams
  1. Pizza and Dark Matter! Come Thursday, March 9th in Room 312. Eat pizza and talk to steminist’s guest speaker, Maria Simanovskaia, who studies dark matter at Cal.
  2. Open gym lunchtime basketball returns next week starting on Monday, March 13th. Come bring your friends and hoop it up.
  3. Best Buddies Club Meeting Thursday, March 9th Lunchtime Room 219. The bowling trip is this Friday after school. Bring your bowling permission slips to the meeting if you want to go with us.
  4. Come to Biology Club on Tuesday at lunch in room 306 – we will be holding elections for next years’ officers! Biology club – Tuesday – lunch – Room 306!
